Can I meet you ahead of time?
Absolutely! All clients must complete a complimentary meet and greet ahead of any bookings to determine good fit.
What is your cancellation policy?
For short-term (<4 days) or grooming services, a 50% cancellation fee is due if you cancel within 3 days of your confirmed booking. For long-term bookings (>5 days), a 7-day cancellation window is in place with a 50% fee.
What happens if the weather is bad?
For excessive heat, walks will be kept short, and play/cuddle time spent indoors. I will walk in light rain, but thunderstorms I will reschedule a drop-in visit for after the storm passes. During hurricane season, I recommend having a boarding plan at a vet office. I require a local emergency contact number and an evacuation plan to follow.
Are you insured and licensed?
Yes! I am insured by Pet Care Insurance and licensed by the state.
What happens if you have an emergency and can't get to my pet?
I have a trusted family member (who is contracted and insured) fill in my place.
What if my pet has a medical emergency?
I will use my best judgement to assess the urgency of the situation and bring them to their regular veterinarian or a nearby emergency hospital. I will make sure the pet owner is aware of any abnormal behavior or symptoms so we can make a mutual decision on any action that needs to be made for the pet's wellbeing.Â
What if my pet is on medications, or has a complicated diet/food routine?
No problem! I am experienced with medication administration including pills and injections. Please provide detailed instructions on your pet's routine, and I will follow it precisely.
Can you work with reactive or anxious pets?
Absolutely. I have no problem with providing slower, patient care for pets who need it. Or upholding more firm training and boundaries that your dog is following.
